ROLE: Mainframe Developer / Code Reviewer Role
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA


Minimum Required Experience: 5 Years (with all of the required skills noted below)

Required (Must-have) Skills:
Developing, debugging, testing and deploying COBOL and MetaCOBOL programs accessing IMS databases on an IBM MVS z/OS mainframe
Use of related IBM mainframe utilities and development tools such as JCL, TSO/ISPF, etc.
Experience with identifying, defining, and documenting system requirements based upon the review and analysis of existing program source code and other documentation
Experience participating in facilitated requirements and/or design sessions (e.g., Joint Application Design or requirements validation sessions) in combination with team members and client stakeholders
Use of automated code analysis and logic extraction tools such as Evolveware Intellisys, MicroFocus Enterprise Analyzer or Compuware XPEDITER/DevEnterprise
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, programming, or related technology subject
Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
Strong analytical and business functional analysis skills
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Experience interacting with clients
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Demonstrated ability to author deliverable artifacts including requirements, process specifications, use cases, and functional narratives related to system requirements and design
IT work experience with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), in particular with the existing CARATS (motor vehicle titling and registration) and Driver Licensing (DL) mainframe systems
Experience with motor vehicle titling/registration and/or driver licensing business domains
Project experience using an Agile-based iterative development methodology
Development experience using Java/JEE
Experience with legacy mainframe system replacement, in particular from COBOL to Java-based solutions
Experience in using IMS Connect client application from outside of mainframe is a plus
Experience working in a large Project Team environment (20+ team members)
Experience in performing data synchronization between IMS DB and a non-mainframe RDMS is a plus
