Job Description:
The resource will be able to work independently without supervision and will work on multiple projects in the capacity of administrator, designer and developer. Resource will be the lead/sole developer on some assignments while contributing to a team on other tasks.
The daily duties will include, but not be limited to:
Design, Develop and maintain MS Access applications, including Access applications with a SQL back end
Design, Develop and maintain Visual Basic.Net and C# applications
Support and enhance VB6, and older, applications
Windows Forms development
Create SQL stored procedures and SQL scripts
Maintain applications written in Groovy/Grails.
Create and support applications that create dynamic reports in Excel, PDF and Crystal Reports formats. This includes creation of PDF reports of very sensitive legal information.
Create scripts for the deployment of MS Access and Visual Basic applications
Perform unit and integration testing of code
Troubleshoot and remediate logic, workflow and performance issues
Document application design, program specifications and infrastructure requirements
Perform knowledge transfer to ITS staff
Provide status updates on a monthly, weekly or daily basis, when requested
Design and code using a 3-tier architecture
Perform database modeling using tools such as Erwin
Create and consume of Web Services
Communication with BA staff for requirements and testing
Candidates should have at least 84 months experience and a majority of the following should apply:

1. A minimum of 84 months experience developing VB6 and VB.Net applications with a 3-tier architecture #of months
2. A minimum of 84 months experience in MS SQL developing databases, writing and testing stored procedures to interface with applications #of months
3. A minimum of 84 months experience creating and maintaining Windows Forms Desktop applications. #of months
4. A minimum of 84 months experience in VB6, MS Access, MS Access VBA and MS Excel VBA, developing and maintaining enterprise applications #of months
5. A minimum of 36 months experience integrating enterprise applications written in VB6 or VB.Net with Active Directory, using LDAP to query Microsoft Active Directory #of months
6. A minimum of 24 months experience building and deploying installation packages #of months
7. A minimum of 12 months experience with application versioning in SVN #of months
8. A minimum of 12 months experience developing reports in Microsoft Visual Studio #of months
9. A minimum of 60 months supporting Public Safety applications. #of months
10. A minimum of 6 months experience with Groovy/Grails programming using the MVC pattern #of months
