Description:
Migrate databases & related objects from legacy to newer SQL server versions
Design and Review the migration plan with the customer and communicate the same with in the team for actual migration. Ensure to perform all in scope activities.
Meeting as -is performance of new databases due to migration changes.
Ability to adapt quickly new technologies and create POC solutions for clients
Own any database migration issues and should handle independently.
Should have experience working with onshore -offshore model
SQL Server Installation & Configuration, patching & upgrade experience
SQL server Agent jobs, alerts & operators, DB mail configuration & troubleshooting
Database capacity planning & growth analysis
Configure DB backup, troubleshoot backup & restore issues
SQL server & DB security & permissions
Experience in High Availability setup, configuration & troubleshooting - Clustering, Log shipping, DB mirroring & Always On
Troubleshooting DB performance problems, query optimization\code optimization
Implementation of Database maintenance tasks & experience in suggesting Best DBA practices depending on DB environment.
Knowledge on SSIS packages & SSRS configuration
Knowledge on TSQL script writing, debugging SPs, Functions & views
