Job Description :
Design /Implementation of SIP''s , Participating / Resolving Severity calls , Knowledge transfer to team members, initiation / implementation of new projects, Document (WPD) Creation.
Collecting Current sql server & database details(like os version, Applications used and application owners,criticality,location & environment details)
Understanding the Database Environment, Client IT organization structure and Database Support team structure.
Understanding Organizational, Team structure and other support teams
The roles and responsibilities of current Database support team.
Current DR Scenario, SQL Clusters, In-scope Applications(like which high availability technique we are using for supporting that application)
Preparing the DR Procedures.
Testing of DR Setup-Methods and schedule(while implementing any setup for production we will check that scenario in test server)
Review of Technical Documentation provided by the client
Collecting Inventory of Servers which includes Environment, Type of Hardware, Database/application, criticality, Application Custodian and Business Owners
Validating the compiled data, and working on the discrepancies if any(like any modifications needed in inventory)
