Duties
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate business needs into long term business intelligence solutions leveraging the Microsoft (SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS) and Tableau technology platform.
Provide technical assistance to the team on various MS/Tableau BI stack technologies.
Participate in meetings to define short term goals and drive the team towards achieving them by defining the priorities.
Tailor solutions for Management dashboards, Financial Reporting and Operational Business Intelligence.
Develop ETL packages, Cube Model and support the existing database components.
Identify and troubleshoot business process and or data quality issues on new or existing reports.
Develop SQL queries and support ad-hoc requests / reports.
Provide support to the team to follow the new process implementation.
Configure and optimize BI environment, which includes relational, and OLAP layers, and data migration components.
Define Business Intelligence framework model, semantic layers and BI Metadata repositories to support reporting and administration.
Develop and manage BI presentation layer training, and documentation.
Required Skills :
Five or more years of experience architecting, developing and/or managing the implementation of Business Intelligence solutions using Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS / SSAS/ SSRS, using other experience with Microsoft OLAP, Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects or other enterprise-grade tools.
Experience in participating in analysis sessions with the user community to capture and define data requirements clearly, completely and correctly.
Knowledge in identifying, analyzing and translating business requirements and rules into intuitive analytical solutions, business scorecards and management dashboards.
Understanding of Business Intelligence solutions: operational and analytical, relational and multidimensional database architectures.
Expertise in the Tableau and Microsoft BI solution offerings including SQL Server 2012/2008 R2 stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS), Power View, Power Pivot, Decomposition Tree, SharePoint, Excel, PerformancePoint Server.
Understanding of multidimensional database design and architecture.
Experience working well in multifunctional teams including IT specialists, Business Subject Matter Experts, and Business managers.
Excellent written and spoken communications skills demonstrated in development of business requirements and documentation as described above.
