Job Description :
Prodapt continues to grow and is currently recruiting for a telecom savvy MSS Software Developer. In this role you will be part of a team that will migrating the data from an MSS 4.x environment to an MSS 6.2 platform. This position will be a key contributor in the conversion process. The candidate will be required to work closely with the customer team to plan, transition the data and successfully implement the project.

POSITION TITLE - MSS Software Developer (M6.2-6.3)
LOCATION – PORTLAND AND WISCONSIN
CORE ROLE:
For Wisconsin Project– Candidate confident enough to take the SW to next level, exp in Weblogic, Metasolv 6.2-6.3 conversion of data will be from 6.2 to 6.3. Someone really skilled to build the whole new application by digging deep in to data. PM experience is a plus
For Portland - Consultants with skills who can take data from older version to newer version, Infrastructure knowledge, At this point project is in migration process.
Responsibilities:
Analysis of the MSS 4.x data structures with an eye on how to transition the data to the 6.2 platform.
Strong communication skills for interaction with the client SME’s and Business Analysis.
Poses a strong working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, network inventory, engineering and/or order fulfillment.
The scope of activities will include (but not limited to): fallout analysis, solution/fix design, development (code and fix) and unit testing.
You should have the ability to troubleshoot complex order flows, order fallout, order orchestration, order decomposition, order edits, etc.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience with MetaSolv (versions 4.x, 5.x and/or 6.x)
3-5+ years of experience with the following: SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Oracle 10g, SQL Developer or Toad
Strong analytical skills and a good problem solver. You will need to have solid critical thinking skills and the ability to understand a problem within a particular context and drive towards the best solution for that context.
Comfort working in an Agile environment.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interaction with both business and IT individuals at all levels.
Successes in teamwork and leadership.
Secondary Qualifications:
Experience with PowerBuilder a plus.
Other experience may include: XML, XSLT, Clear Case and Unix Shell Scripts
A working knowledge of MetaSolv delivered API/Web Services
