Details:
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Quality Tester that can contribute and
influence quality into Next Generation Warranty project.
The Quality Tester will be responsible for owning and testing feature areas of our
applications and tools.
This individual will be a fast learner, a strong QA contributor, results driven, with high
integrity and outstanding communication skills.
JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent Quality Assurance on cross-functional project team, with responsibility for
quality planning including test planning and execution
Maintain test plans and test cases so they remain up-to-date, reflecting current
requirements
Plan and test cycles (UAT, performance, integration, regression, etc in Agile environment
Maintain quality center test cases and activities
Manage defect triage process
Communicate directly with Development team regarding software defects and
requirements
Follow established process for defect tracking and reporting, including logging defects in a
detailed and reproducible way
Establish and maintain productive relationships with developers, project managers and
other team members
Compile and communicate test status and metrics to the project team and management
Provide coaching on testing processes and defect reporting to team members to support
test activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of IT Quality/Tester related experience required.
Thorough understanding of software quality assurance and quality control techniques and
software development lifecycles(SDLC)
Knowledgeable in HP Quality Center use and administration
Able to effectively communicate complex concepts and influence decisions
Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Demonstrated creative and analytical problem solving and decision making skills
Proficient with all MS Office tools, including Visio and Project
