Role: PMP Project Manager
Location: Herndon VA
Duration: 12+ Months
Senior Project Manager is responsible for handling one (1) to three (3) projects at any given time. The candidate will manage strategic initiative projects; communicate effectively with client executive level leadership for gathering information and direction as well as for providing status and analysis updates.
Required qualifications:
11+ years of progressive IT experience and 5+ years of project management experience
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Issue track and risk management skills
Project financial planning and budgeting
Change management and senior stakeholder management
Performs overall strategic management, and planning
Excellent planning skills using industry planning applications (i.e. Microsoft project)
Attention to detail
Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
Ability to resolve highly complex technical issues
Ability to manage, coordinate, guide a project team of technical professionals
Outstanding leadership skills
Ability to manage complex projects
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to work well with senior management
Education requirements:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field required
Post-graduate degree desired
PMI/Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
