Role: MS SQL Server IT Data Analyst/Developer
Location: Hartford, CT

Job Description:

Performs requirements and data analysis to develop Experian Data Archive process. Interacts with the customer to develop business rules. Understands and applies ETL methodology in creating processes to develop data marts, dimensional models, data integrations. Creates reports, cubes, and data extracts using various databases and reporting tools.

Performs complex and thorough analysis of key metrics, identifies all source data, and develops efficient 3rd party data processing and analytic solutions
Understands ETL and Warehousing concepts and architectures. Designs and implements ETL processes. Designs and implements industry standard dimensional models. Designs and implements Data Quality processing
Develops analytic processes for new and existing analytics taking into consideration business requirements, reporting compliance and IT Controls, and other corporate requirements. Ensures all processes developed are completed and quality tested prior to release
Is expert with Microsoft SQL Server tool sets TSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and can employ these tools and others in developing reporting solutions
Can profile data with in house toolsets. Using data profiles, document detailed specifications and develop rules
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Can troubleshoot data issues.
Can develop data models

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
3 to 5 years data reporting experience preferably in an insurance environment

Knowledge And Skills: List the preferred specialized knowledge, skills and/or scope of related experience required to successfully achieve the functions of the position.
