Job Description:-
Working with business analysts for requirement gathering (BRD), business analysis, and translating the business requirements into technical specifications to build the Enterprise data warehouse.
Developing mappings for fact and dimension tables using the various transformations to extract data from different source databases Oracle, DB2 and Mainframe files.
Designing and developing complex ETL
Creating Workflows in Informatica using various tasks like sessions, events raise, event wait, decision, e-mail, command, worklets, Assignment, working on scheduling of the workflows and using mapping parameters and variables.
Developing UNIX Shell Scripts for running Informatica workflows and sessions (pmcmd commands), File manipulations, housekeeping functions and SFTP utility program.
Working on scheduling Informatica ETL workflows using Tivoli (TWS) Scheduler
Preparing mapping specification document, which gives the data flow and transformation logic for populating each column in the data warehouse table.
Using debugger to analyze the data flow between source and target to fix the data issues.
Creating the release requests for QA Builds to include all the release requirements and involved in the implementation of QA, UAT and Production releases.
