Duration: 7+ months of contract
Shift Hours: 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week , 8 Hours per Day
Job Description:
Design, plan, test, integrate, implement and maintain database systems and platforms for Decision Engineering.
May have responsibility for administering several aspects of a project such as access methods, device allocation, and security.
Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures as they relate to databases.
Assignments may include design of data dictionaries, database structure and layout, installing, upgrading, and managing database applications.
May work in teams with other DBA’s, System Engineers, Data Analysts, Application Developers, System Architects, and IT staff.
BA/MS in CS or IT Minimum 9 years of DBA experience with SQL Server and NoSQL databases, Hadoop, micro services and Jupyter notebooks.
Very good knowledge and hands-on installation, configuration and troubleshooting any platform
related issue on standalone and clustered environment.
Experience in performance tuning and point in time recovery, refresh non-prod environment with PROD copy are required
Provides the engineering required to ensure a stable, highly available, and optimally tuned databases through application and system-level configuration, including database troubleshooting, performance tuning and capacity planning & management for databases across Decision Engineering.
Performing database and application deployment and upgrade efforts and execute tasks related to these projects, on time while in compliance with adopted Intel policies and standards.
Providing monitoring to engineering analysis databases associated tools and utilities to achieve optimum performance and high availability.
Design and implement data strategies for high availability.
Strong knowledge of Query Optimization techniques Tune indexes, triggers, stored procedure, views, Partitions.
Proficiency in Programming in codes languages [T-SQL, PL/SQL, SQL], C#, Python and R
Experience with SQL Server
High availability DR solutions like clustering, AlwaysOn, database mirroring, log shipping, replication, and partitioning.
Prefer experience with Big Data stack in distributed systems and analytics engines like Hadoop, Elasticsearch, MapReduce, Yarn, Hue and similar large-scale data platform components
Experience with design and deployment of container infrastructures including Docker EE, Kubernetes and GitHub repository
Experience with DevOps automation tools, including Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
Fluency in common query languages, API development, data transformation, and integration of data streams.
A working knowledge of code and script – Python and/or Ruby, Shell, Logstash
Responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining computing platforms that enable large scale data analysis
Design and architecture, configures, deploys, and documents components used in the analytics platforms that include Spark, Livy, Jupyter Hub, Scala and Python.
Identifies gaps and improves the existing platform to improve quality, robustness, maintainability, and speed.
Evaluates new and upcoming big data solutions and makes recommendations for adoption
to extend our platform to meet advanced analytics use cases, such as predictive modeling and recommendation engines.
Experience in ML Model design and implementation. Monitors and improves environment to maximize compute efficiency and minimize cost Expertise in MongoDB installation, replica-set, high-availability and support
Familiar with ETL process development, Data Management policy development, support and QA activities
