Position Description:

The Data Integration and Business Intelligence Infrastructure support team is part of the Enterprise Computing Organization at Morgan Stanley. The team manages and supports a variety of client reporting, ETL and business intelligence products. Some of the products are proprietary systems like Report Explorer, Report Generation System, Report Delivery System used by our external clients and vendor products such as Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica BigData Management, QlikView, Business Objects XI Reporting, Data Virtualisation and Tableau. This position is for a Level3 support role with global responsibility for a subset of these applications with specific focus on the Informatica applications.

The successful candidate will be involved in day to day handling of incidents, escalations, problem and change management. This includes application server administration, technical troubleshooting of infrastructure and user incidents, server and application deployments and task automation.

The role requires availability for weekend and on-call work on a rotation basis.

Required skills:

- Experience troubleshooting of server applications.

- Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge including the ability to understand the interaction between applications, hardware, and operating system and to provide recommendations and suggestions related to troubleshooting and performance improvement

- Strong system administration experience

- Server and application deployments and task automation.

- Strong experience in Unix Shell

- Knowledge and experience with either Perl or Python programming

- Handling of change, trouble shooting incidents, escalations and problem management.

- Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment

Desired skills:

- Knowledge and experience in storage systems (SAN, NAS)

- Experience with Informatica Powercenter or BigData Management

- Knowledge of HTTP, SQL, Databases

- Knowledge of Big Data systems, Teradata , Greenplum/Mata, Hadoop
