Job description:
As a Cloud Systems Administrator – you will participate in the completion of projects, tasks, and support within the corporate AWS Hosting Environment based on Linux operating systems. In this role, the individual will actively complete tasks and projects that align to enterprise goals, objectives, and center of excellence vision in terms of cloud infrastructure and security.
The areas of responsibilities include server operating systems, virtualization platforms, cloud storage, hosting operations, systems alerting, monitoring, response, information lifecycle management, high availability, security and disaster recovery.
This position will demonstrate creative thinking and decision-making characteristics throughout daily interaction with others. This position requires a motivated and self-directed individual possessing a methodical approach to problem solving with experience in Linux/Unix system administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Be accountable for the support of Linux based systems.
* Maintain and troubleshoot all systems, applications, security, and network configurations.
* Be responsible for the daily administration of a cloud environment, related servers, security and network devices.
* Troubleshoot network performance issues and help to create and maintain disaster recovery plans.
* Install, test and administer enhancements to new and existing cloud servers.
* Maintain servers to ensure trouble free operation and to ensure security.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Amazon Web services related certification (SysOps, Solutions Architect, etc.
* Desired experience with one or all of: RHCE, SUSE Linux, CentOS.
* Strong working knowledge of AWS, with minimum of 2 years- experience including S3, IAM, setting up VPC, raising and sizing EC2 instances, Policy management, Cloudwatch etc.
* Experience supporting SAP on SuSE Linux/AWS.
* Experience dealing with the Global application security administration, Segregation of Duty and compliance of applications in a multi-platform environment.
* Centrify AD Integration, MFA, and Privilege Access.
* Experience dealing with the Identity and Access Management of Enterprise Security systems in a complex multi-platform environment.
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge across a broad range of Identity and Access Management technologies.
* Process orientated with some knowledge of SOX, CPNI, PCI-DSS and PII controls.

Standards & Methodology: ITIL.
* Good technical skills: application and operating system, security audits, log monitoring, Outstanding communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.
* Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently.
* Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills. Excellent documentation skills.
* Ability to weigh business risks and enforce appropriate information security measures.
* 5-7+ years Linux server administration experience with RHEL/CentOS.
* Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) operations including EC2, S3, CloudFormation and related technologies.
* Operational experience maintaining AWS security and traffic management using IAM roles and policies, ELB, CloudWatch and related technologies.
* Experience with infrastructure automation platforms and utilities such as SaltStack, Ansible, Puppet or similar.
* Understanding of TCP/IP networking for LAN/WAN topologies.
* Ability to manage services/access via IPTables/tcp wrappers.
* Detailed understanding of http and https protocols and related software, such as Apache httpd daemon.
* Experience scripting/programming skills with experience in Bash, Python or other scripting languages.
* Experience with supporting web development and scientific programmers/users.
* Strong Linux security skills, working knowledge of cyber security issues, account management, trends and leading practices.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to manage project workloads with minimal supervision and supporting the daily support ticket queue.
* Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly.
