Position: Linux Administrator x6
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 12 month contract – possible for extensions
Top 3 Skills:
1) Linux Server Testing or Windows Server Testing including deploying packages to servers. Linux servers are using RHEL 6.x/7.x and must have experience within RHEL.
2) Automation with Powershell, python, C to add and enhance automation capabilities. Don’t need to do from scratch, ability to adjust and modify scripts to complete tasks needed.
3) VMWare Vcenter access, leverage ESXI for server testing with BladeLogic and server distribution. ESXI aspect to it, take snapshots and pull those back up and manage their own configurations. Using Test VMs.
Day to Day:
Scope is around server package testing and server releases. Testing on Linux packages. Monthly releases for security, installs that we need to add, we are doing it through the environment.
Testing on RHEL 6/7. Server config that needs validated and delivery of the package itself. Blade logic distribution. System check analysis.
Systems Testing Engineer for RHEL and Wintel server operating systems and configurations, and VMWare virtualization technology as applied in cloud computing environments.
Performs virtual testing lab support and maintenance.
Performs technical requirements analysis for testing and test automation development objectives.
Develops and plans testing conditions, test models, test scripts and test data sets during the Service Design stage of the service lifecycle and ensures adequate access in place for a successful test.
Executes tests and performs defect management during testing.
Evaluates results against exit criteria and prepares summary reports, as well as dashboard reporting related content
Fast paced environment with a lot going on. Release going out every other week. In testing for one release that is going out we are getting ready for the next.
