Title: Linux Server Administrator
Location: Austin, TX 78731
Duration: 7+ Months Contract
Rate: $65/hr on W2 all inclusive(without any benefits)

Job Responsibilities:
-Develop an infrastructure to automate patching of Linux servers in environment.
-Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve server issues as they arise.
-Ensure configuration documentation is created and updated when needed
-Produce reports for audits and create or convert to excel spreadsheets
-Install and configure software application updates as necessary
-Manage certificates on server and update / implement as needed
-Clean up data on servers as needed and within guidelines
-Provision and Manage user accounts
-Monitor servers and evaluate availability of all server resources
-Develop baselines and optimize servers where possible
-May require working evenings or weekends as part of a project implementation
-Be able to lift 50lbs
-Be on call for one week every two months.
Basic Qualifications:
-5 - 8 years of Progressive Linux server administration following Linux best practises.
-5+ years of developing, testing and supporting Linux scripting languages (Python, Perl etc.,
-Redhad and Suse preferred
-Experience with LDAP and Active Directory
-Azure and AWS experience a plus
-Perform and report hardware, software, and server audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
-History of patching and maintaining Linux servers
-Strong experience with OpCon / Cron Tab
-Experience with Tomcat and Apache applications
-Strong in listening, verbal and written communication skills
-Strong analystical, problem solving and debugging skills
-Good understanding or certified in the ITIL Methodology
-Work on on-call rotation
-Able to lift 50lbs
