Job Description :
Responsibilities:
Install and Configure Linux 7.x in AWS
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Install and configure web and application servers on Linux: Apache, Tomcat.
Manage and maintain Linux-based servers.
Research and recommend new equipment, technologies, and services.
Purchase and work with various vendors for procurement and configuration.
Schedule, plan, implement, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to systems relating to Linux systems.
Create automation scripts for configuration, backup, and restoration using well known scripting languages (Bash/Perl
Provide Tier III technical support in accurately troubleshooting or researching systems and software so that problems are resolved quickly without significant interruption to service.
Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures for all server backups and disaster recovery procedures.
Provides on-call support on a rotating schedule or as needed for emergency situations, including outside of normal business hours.
Requirements:
Having a security clearance of Public Trust or above is a plus
Bachelor’s degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science is preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience
10+ years of hands-on experiences with RedHat, CentOS and OpenSUSE Linux distributions.
8+ years scripting experience (Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc
8+ years of experience with TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, routers, and switches.
5+ years of experience with storage virtualization technologies such as Compellent, EMC or NetApp.
8+ years of experience with AWS/Azure/VMWare.
RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification preferred
