Position: Liferay Architect
Job Location: Saint Louis, MO
Duration: 6 months +
Please note this is an Architect role.
Required Skills
10+ years of software experience
3+ years server side Java
MUST have 3+ years of CURRENT Liferay Portal experience
Strong object oriented design skills
Strong database design skills
Experience on Architecture and Design on Liferay based Application development
Must have Spring experience
Prefer experience with some of the following: Hibernate, Struts, ANT, Maven, and JUnit
Experience with Oracle/MS SQL Server/MySQL
Experience in SOA, SOAP/REST web services
JSR 168/286 Portlet development experience; Spring MVC portlet experience desired
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Should be able to understand business requirements and translate to information architecture/software development
Ability to handle task allocation and coordination, along with personal deliverables
Ability and desire to work in all aspects of application delivery including requirements, architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Ability to size up infrastructure and experience in performance tuning to achieve strict SLA''s.
Other Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to assist in pre-sales activities including client meetings and proposal writing
Should adhere to development plan and guide team for any query in J2EE, XML, XSLT, XSD, HTMl5, AJAX, JQuery, and JavaScript.
