As a Lead Web Designer/Developer, you must have a pixel perfect eye for detail and a real passion for excellent user experience design. The core responsibility for this role is to build rich, engaging and consistent experiences for our web-based stable of products including web sites, mobile applications and business solutions. You’ll be a part of a multi-talented team of content editors, designers, developers, architects and analysts and have the opportunity to work with world-renowned scientists and physicians – all of whom are dedicated to the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to “Find cures. Responsibilities

Leads the design and development efforts for St. Jude Internet Development by providing an engaging and consistent user experience for web, mobile and BI solutions.

Provides project management leadership and ensures that projects are deployed in a timely manner.
Implements and controls branding for both internal and external application.

Oversees the development, implementation, and/or integration of graphical elements including digital video and multimedia.

Designs and develops the user interface for web, mobile and business solutions consistent with established design and development standards.

Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) years of applied experience in user experience design is required.

Experience with responsive website design and adherence to mobile-first design principles is required.

Experience applying UX design principles to data and information visualization is required.

Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator in particular) and other design tools is required.

Expert proficiency in: X/HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript frameworks is required.

Experience with jQuery, SASS/LESS, and Web Standards is preferred.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required.
