Team Lead, SSIS Development – Palatine

In this role you will be leading a team of approximately 5-8 SSIS developers. Your technical expertise, combined with leadership and client relationship skills will be the drivers to your success.

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

Under minimal supervision, Lead will define, design, develop, unit test, and support new or existing ETL solutions to meet business requirements.
Assist in the creation, delivery and organization of sessions, monitoring load times and re-arranging processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the loading processes.
Deliver increased productivity and effectiveness through more rapid delivery of high-quality applications
Provide work estimates and communicate status of assignments.
Provide operational production support and flexible to manage high severity incidents/problem resolution during off business hours.
Participate in troubleshooting and resolving data integration issues such as data quality.
Manage a team of 5-8 SSIS Developers


YOUR EXPERTISE SKILLS

Expertise in SQL programming, relational databases, data modeling and data retrieval methodologies
Solid experience programming on the Microsoft data environment leveraging SQL Server Integration Services
Understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts, processes and methodologies.
Strong team player with willingness to collaborate
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and very keen attention to detail
Demonstrated critical soft skills including: active listening and verbal communication skills, flexible and adaptable attitude, adaptable to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines, ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including other teams.
Ability to work in an agile development environment
Previous development Lead experience
Excellent time management skills


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a technology organization, including at least 3 years of experience in a BI ETL leverage Microsoft data development technologies.
Demonstrated proficiency with the following databases and technologies:
Proficient in SQL
SQL Server Integration Services, Store Procedures
Microsoft SQL Server
Proven experience in performance tuning
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field
