Description:
Lead the Database Team in Design Develop and Migration of on Premise SQL Server2008 R2 Databases to Open Source PostgreSQL or MySQL on AWS Cloud.
Good Understanding on the Existing Source Databases (SQL Server 2008 R2), Application Complexity, In Scope, Out of Scope, Capacity Planning, Performance, Backup Strategy, High Availability to Ensure Migration to AWS Cloud with Same or Better Performance
Participation in Competency Development with the Objective of Ensuring Best Fit and High Quality Technical Solution and Creating Thought Leadership with in the Area of Technology Specialization and in Compliance with Guidelines, Policies and Norms
Good Development Knowledge in PostgreSQL, MySQL and Sql Server
Required Skills:
8-12+ Years of Professional Work Experience as part of an Enterprise Software Company or Systems Integrator
Strong Knowledge in Working with SQL Server, MySQL and Postgre Databases
Experience on Database Administration, Upgrade, Migration, Backup and Recovery, Performance HA activities
Own any Database Migration Issues and Should Handle Independently.
Knowledge and Exposure to Cloud Integration Concepts & Fundamentals
Knowledge on Technical Architect who is an Infrastructure expert at AWS Cloud Services
Knowledge on HA Solutions on SQL Server and AWS cloud
Ability to Adapt Quickly New Technologies and Create POC Solutions for Clients
Familiarity with SQL Server to AWS PostgreSQL and SQL Server to MySQL Migration is a plus.
Should have Experience Working with Onshore -Offshore Model
Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
