A Senior Quality Analyst (QA) is needed to help complete the Hennepin County Assessment and Taxes Project (A&T The main focus of the project is to implement a new, Windows-based, property tax system which will replace the mainframe system that processes property tax payments for Hennepin County.
Scope of services/description of work to be performed:
The senior quality analyst (QA) must be a seasoned professional who can work at the program level and mentor other QAs.
Scope of services include working with the stakeholders from the business, project team, and vendor to:
Write, maintain, and execute test scripts, cases and plans for unit, system, and regression testing
Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues
Translate business requirements into testing requirements
Review functional and technical specifications to develop test plans and test cases; review and recommend manual testing processes
Establish and maintain documentation of test results
Maintain defect tracking system to ensure all critical issues are resolved at completion of project
Facilitate project meetings
Mentor other stakeholders in QA methods and best practices
Specific skills/experience required:
Five years or more of IT quality assurance experience, including managing the QA process on projects
Proficiency in writing test plans, creating test cases, test data, user documentation, test scripts, and managing/tracking defect logs
Knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle including design, development, testing, implementation, and support
Experience with both manual QA processes and automated testing tools
Experience using Microsoft Office products including Excel
Effective analytical, organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and contribute in a team environment
Experience with Tax or Finance applications are preferred
Project deliverables:
Complete test cases and execute testing for multiple business areas related to the property tax and assessment.
CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst) or CSTE (Certified Software Tester) certification is preferred
