This is more of a QA Lead level as they are looking for candidates that are more SME (Subject Matter Experts) that have several years of experience with Data Quality Tool Expertise, can help evaluate and drive these tools, experience with data architecture and ETL workflows, etc.

Position Description:
The Automation Engineer/Data SME will support quality assurance programs and help to sustain a data quality practice that is alignment with QA strategy.
The candidate requires background utilizing data quality software tool and processes to incorporate data quality best practices during application development and rollout. The applicant needs experience monitoring, measuring and reporting on data quality metrics. Strong communication skills are neededto market and educate the value of data quality to technical leadership as well as all project team roles.
Position/Project Specific Requirements:
5+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance
3+ years SQL utilizing complex queries and writing stored procedures
3+ years hands on Data Quality Tool Expertise
2+ years testing data/data transformation/data movement (ETL)
Experience with Relational Databases
Firm understanding of data architecture and ETL workflows
Experience with or good knowledge of Netezza and Amp
1+ years of using Informatica DVO or other tools to automate ETL tests
Agile methodology experience
2+ years of using Quality Center/ALM for test case management
1+ years of using Jira for defect tracking
Position/Project Specific Preferences/Desires:

Prefer having a Bachelors Degree in a related field of study
Prefer candidates with Green Cards or US citizenship

Essential Job Functions:
Work within an Agile methodology
Validate data from the data sources through each step of the extract and transformation process including final load in the data warehouse
Ability to be hands on and Develop and review test plans and test scripts
Ability to provide Data Test Strategy to Teams
Knowledge of Automation test efforts using ETL automation tools
Knowledge of manual or automated web service testing
Ensure accurate data and reporting, in terms of content and infrastructure by researching and identifying source of errors
Understand the data model and ETL flow.
Write SQL scripts to extract data from various databases and systems and compare against data warehouse
Ensure data standards/integrity are maintained in order to deliver the highest quality products
Document defects and evaluate priority of defect based on overall application functionality
Actively stays current with industry trends by attending conferences and workshops, evaluate and lead POC’s and rolls out new technologies.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like: CA LISA, UFT, Selenium, Informatica DVO/IDQ.
Technical understanding and in-depth knowledge of multiple lines of business.
Sound understanding of Automation, SOA, ETL testing principles
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages.
