Job Description :

Job Position: Java Developer
Work Location: Durham, NC
Duration : 12+ Months

We are looking for a Java Developer on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is located in Durham, NC.
Primary Responsibilities
Interpret business problems and translate them into technical solutions
Create designs to solve complex technical problems
Contribute to a teamwork environment by actively participating in peer project reviews, code reviews, design reviews and being available to help others when needed.
Responsible for the development of high quality solutions consistent with architectural guidelines and best practices
Contribute to multiple projects concurrently
Participates in the Object Modeling and the creation of Sequence Diagrams
Create clear and thorough project documentation
Responsible for clear, concise written and oral communications
Experience
8 — 10 years of development experience.
3 — 5 years of technical leadership experience at a senior level.

Skills and Knowledge:
Must have:
6 - 8 years of Java/J2EE (JSP, Servlets) on Tomcat application server (Including Spring Framework, SpringBoot, REST Webservice)
5 - 8 years using the object development methodology (object modeling and sequence diagrams)
Working experience with Git/Stash code repository
Working experience with Agile and Water fall methodologies
Experience developing business applications, preferably in Finance
Structured design and testing experience required
Nice to Have:
Familiar or working experience with Docker and Rancher
Familiar or working experience with PostGreSQL database
Familiar or working experience with Cloud and CI/CD
