Looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer who is currently designing and wants to continue designing. New product development experience is required.

Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):
Provide technical expertise to develop and lead product design projects
Drive root cause analysis for quality and reliability issues
Interpret technical agency standards and conduct projects in accordance with standard engineering practices
Conduct DFMEA and create test and analysis plans for Product Validation
Perform Tolerance Studies on Components and Assemblies
Supervise product validation testing
Provide guidance and leadership to designers, lab technicians and other team members
Lead cross functional design reviews and Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Assessments on Components & Assemblies
Administer appropriate agency and regulatory approval processes
Develop and/or update electrical purchased part engineering drawings and standards
Define, identify and complete appropriate qualification testing activities
Prepare complete schedules and reports for assigned projects
Achieve scheduled milestones for assigned projects
Coordinate the activities of other engineers or technicians assigned to the project
Provide engineering support to product planning and/or technical support teams
Identify electrical quality and productivity improvement opportunities



Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor''s Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years experience in electrical design and/or systems engineering (preferably automotive) is required.
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering a plus.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to cross-functional technical teams.
Key Competencies:
Experience with power system modules, engine control, electrical vehicle controls and safety features
Strong interest in power system modules and electrical equipment
Competency in Microsoft products including, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint required
Ability to lead a team or work as a member of a team
CAN/LIN Experience
EMC Testing Experience
Experience in system modeling using Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent technical, analytical and problem solving skills
Must be tenacious with quality and customer service orientation
Knowledge of the appropriate product safety and design standards
Basic experience with 3D-CAD applications such as ProE is a plus (but is not required)
Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma trained or certified a plus (but is not required)
