Lead Ecommerce Developer - Contract
Plano, TX

Responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise-level ecommerce applications that meet the needs of the product owners, while ensuring scalability and high availability. In the creation of new or the maintenance of existing ecommerce applications, the UI Developer II assists in the identification of business requirements, creation of functional designs and supports user acceptance testing. The ecommerce Developer is responsible for creating technical designs, coding the ecommerce applications, creating, and performing unit tests. Throughout the entire Systems Development Life Cycle, the ecommerce Developer II follows the guidelines and standards as set forth in the IT Department Policies and Procedures. These standards include source code control, documentation, testing practices, naming and project standards and move to production and release processes.

Responsibilities
Architecting/developing large enterprise-class e-commerce solutions on preferably Hybris platform
Serve as architect and develop lead
Interface between marketing team and development team
Serve as SME on development team
Solution & technology research, cost analysis, risk identification, implementation strategies
Full stack ecommerce development
Hybris
N-Tier applications and service-oriented architecture including databases (SQL and NoSQL) and middle-ware (Java APIs, Java Web Services)
Frontend optimization
SEO
Building customer acquisition funnels
Work with technical business analysts and developers to ensure understanding of the application intent, data input, output requirements and inclusion of internal checks and controls
Write and maintain complex UI application documentation
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed
Estimate the level of effort required to accomplish tasks
Strict adherence to company''s IT SDLC processes and standards
Confer with technical business analysts and business community to gain an understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing UI applications
Provide guidance for the overall technical direction for medium to large sized UI development projects
Mentor junior development team members
Assist in the enforcement of coding standards through code reviews
Have strong business domain knowledge

Requirements
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent required
6 to 10 years progressive application development and integration experience, supporting medium to larger sized UI applications.
Full stack eCommerce development
3+ years of strong Hybris experience
Passion for high-quality software
Experience with source control tools (GIT or similar) and JIRA
A strong business acumen with basic knowledge of Retail principles
Clear and effective writing and technical documentation skills
Team oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to see a task to completion
Good analytical/problem-solving skills
Self-motivated/independent/resourceful

Preferred Requirements
2 – 3 years'' experience with Angular JS
2 – 3 years'' experience cloud native application deployment
