*Role Description:*

The role of a Business Analyst (BA) is to work with business stakeholders
to define and document the requirements of a project/program and to
communicate those requirements clearly to stakeholders and the technical
team in order to implement solutions that align to business needs.
The Lead Business Analyst manages the process of defining what a project
is; why it exists and what it hopes to achieve; who are the users of it
both internal and external; and how those users will interact with the
finished project. The Lead BA manages the definition of project mission,
vision, and objectives; helps the business define what is in and out of
scope; assists them in eliciting requirements, organizing/grouping
requirements into categories, prioritizing the requirements according to
their importance and difficulty in building and implementing them
translating and simplifying requirements, and documenting those findings.
Business analysts also use requirements to drive the design or review of
test cases and process change requests, and manage a project s acceptance,
installation and deployment.

In addition, the Lead BA take a leadership role in working closely with the
business aimed at building an ongoing relationship as a trusted advisor to
the business in matters beyond the scope of a single project and extending
to other projects and business objectives and strategies.
The Lead BA also takes a leadership role in helping advance, create,
implement, and manage best practices, including standard tools, templates,
and methodologies. He/she coordinates with the business and with other
members of the team, especially technical experts, to help ensure the
success of the project, of the business, and of the continuing relationship
with the business.

*Functional Skills and Competencies, Processes and People:*

*3+ Years of Airline Domain Experience is a MUST*
Direct the completion of project BA objectives, such as
scope, requirement, analysis and solutions, business process modeling, UAT,
and customer training, etc.
Gather, develop, coordinate, and maintain business
requirements for various projects and/or systems from initial phase to
final implementation, assuring requirements meet standards.
Create functional specifications and prepare
wireframes/flowcharts
Analyze and decompose complex requirements, perform gap
analysis, and recommend solutions
Prepare and deliver written and oral reports and
presentations on the status of requirements management, project direction,
risks, alternatives, business justification, etc.
Analyze project to determine its relevancy and congruency
with the broader business strategy and objectives.
Take the lead role in working with the business to develop
cost/benefit and capital authorization studies and risk analyses.
Develop use cases/user stories and functional specifications
that are mapped to requirements.
Coordinate the capture of process models and functional
testing, ensuring system is functionally appropriate, technically sound,
and well integrated.
Work with the business to develop and manage user acceptance
criteria.
Be an authority in functional area of specialization, analyze
existing systems, and highlight areas of improvement
Ensure product deliverables quality, such as functional
specifications, logical and physical data design, solution design and
detailed design, UAT test plans, and completed solution
Interact with users, customers, other portfolios, and
vendors, maintaining communication for the full life cycle of project.
Request the needed BAs for a project and get them oriented to
work on the project.
Direct and delegate BA work effort, monitor individual BA
performance and provide feedback to resource managers and/or
program/project managers.
Provide user support and coordinate resolution of issues to
include change management, root cause analysis, and appropriate escalation
as needed.
Coordinate the process to analyze, evaluate, implement, and
maintain systems developed internally and/or externally with an outside
vendor.
