Role: LUW DB2 Admin
Work Location & Reporting Address: Fort Worth, TX
Contract duration: 6 Months
Minimum years of experience: 5+
Job Description:
Proficiency with DB2 LUW v10/v11 database administration on UNIX or Linux platforms on medium to large systems
Good exposure to UDB DBA maintenance activities like reorgs, runstats, back-up, restore, expanding and reducing the table-spaces.
Performance Tuning of databases by designing appropriate architecture and tuning of database instances.
Experience in various DB2 utilities like LOAD/IMPORT/EXPORT/DB2MOVE and RUNSTATS/REORG.
Experience in Backup and Restore (various restore methodologies) Good knowledge on Capacity planning & forecasting.
Experience in new DB2 database builds ,patching and version upgrades.
Should be well versed with advanced concepts like DB2 DPF, HADR with TSA etc.
Exposure on DR test & strategies like Failover Clustering/HADR.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
