Job Description:
§ L1 layer development for 2G/ 3G/ 4G/ 5G, preferably 4GLTE or 5GNR
§ Requirement and specification analysis
§ Low level design and implementation of the modules assigned
§ Bug fixing and maintenance of the modules
§ System integration (MAC-PHY,PHY-RF)
Skills:
§ Physical layer 2G/3G/4G/5G baseband design and development experience, preferably 4GLTE or 5GNR
§ Designing and developing physical layer software blocks on one or more of the signal processing platforms like Texas Instruments TI C66x, C64x, Intel x86, SIMD, AVX instructions and Freescale
§ Knowledge of
o Signal processing and wireless communications basics
o Baseband - RF interface, experience with RF equipment like AWGN/ Fading emulators, spectrum analyzers and signal generators, desired but not mandatory
o Knowledge in algorithm development like Channel estimation, timing offset calculations is plus
§ Processor-specific optimization (memory/ MIPS) experience preferred
§ Basic proficiency in MATLAB (or Python NumPy) for simple simulations and test vector generation desired
§ Experience with Multitasking - Multicore programming
§ Strong debugging skills especially with respect to real-time systems
§ Very strong communication basics
