Responsibilities:

Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps challenges.

Investigate and analyze application architecture, technology stack, requirements to new infrastructure and change management process.

Collaborate with infrastructure, application development, testing, release engineering, and production operations teams.

Create deployment architecture based on open source technology stack for automation.

Establish efficient continuous delivery process and production operations process.

Plan phases of client journey towards the final architecture state.

Lead the engineering team through the implementation.

Provide technical governance and sign off on engineering team deliverables.

Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.

Travel up to 30% of the time.



Engineer would work with all levels of client personnel from C level executives to individual engineers. Internally, the engineer guides delivery team and ensures compliance of the implementation with the architecture.



Required Skills and Experience:

To be successful in the role, the engineer need to be highly motivated in achieving high business value with technology.

BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of relevant experience in information technology in the senior roles related to CICD, DevOps, deployment automation, and cloud.

Deployment and Orchestration technology stack (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker Swarm.

Microservices architecture and distributed application design principles.

DevOps principles and stages of CICD process from source code management, to build, deployment and test automation, finishing with production deployments.

Production operations and site reliability engineering principles.

Public or Private cloud IaaS (preferable is Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, OpenStack

Experience in Unix / Linux system engineering environments.

Experience with physical and virtualization technologies.

Experience in development / scripting experience with one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python (must), Shell Script (must), Go (must), Perl / Ruby (must

CICD infrastructure technology stack (such as Jira, flavors of Git, Jenkins, Bamboo

Provisioning and deployment automation technology stack (such as Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Hashicorp stack

Service-oriented or microservices architecture and distributed application design principles.

CICD process and infrastructure, ideally in the context of multi-service applications.

Manage infrastructure. Automation of tasks such as deploying hardware, VMs, containers, storage, network, etc.

Should be an SME to operate independently or in a team.

Ability to seamlessly transition between being on the command line to leading discussions in front of a boardroom.
