Position: UNIX Administrator

Job Description:
· As a Member of the UNIX team, you will develop as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more components of the Infrastructure.
· As a junior member of this team you will be working to develop solution ownership and technical mastery.
· Under general direction; maintain, test, implement and optimize core infrastructure systems and subsystems that enable and support business and customer functions.
· Analyze performance statistics to identify and resolve infrastructure capacity/configuration issues and update documentation.
· Establishes and maintains security, integrity and business continuity controls and documents.
· Participates in special system infrastructure projects, incident response escalations and problem management cases.
· Manage deployment of new installs, upgrades and migrations for HPUX, Solaris, RHEL, as well as any underlying Hardware.
· Develop, deploy and maintain automation for daily tasking, administration and common error resolution.
· Support Project delivery ·
· Perform to established timelines ·
· Execute complex changes using published documentation ·
· Perform intermediate to complex UNIX Infrastructure maintenance, to include but not limited to code updates, reconfigurations, hot fixes and any other corrective actions ·
· Respond to Service outage escalations ·
· Perform Root Cause analysis to resolve Problem Management cases ·
· Explore performance, trends and changes to ensure high performance and high availability. ·
· Work with cross discipline teams to achieve complex goals and a collaborative professional manner.
· Document, review and update any and all processes and operational procedural instructions.
· Schedule maintenance actions in a timely manner. ·
· Perform Escalations to Engineering and Vendors ·
· Create shell Scripts, update existing scripts per requirements ·
· Managing daily activities to include user support and system administration tasks.
