Duties:

The Traffic Analyst will work with the Traffic and Export Compliance group involved in the following areas: Export Regulations, Import Regulations, Customs Regulations, Traffic, Logistics, for both international and domestic shipping. The Traffic and Export Compliance group manages carriers, freight forwarders and brokers worldwide, coordinates critical shipments as well as shipments that may be delayed during the customs clearance process anywhere in the world. Corporate Traffic and Export Compliance ensures Client follows U.S. export regulations for shipments originating domestically and internationally.

He/she will receive direction from, and work closely with the Manager Traffic and Export Compliance, PDO and team headquartered in San Jose, California.

The Traffic Analyst must be able to take on multiple projects simultaneously and work independently to solve them. Additionally, he/she must develop knowledge of the different functional groups within Client and be able to support their business needs. A major part of supporting business needs involves ensuring established processes and procedures account for the implications of non compliance, as it relates to the interpretation and application of import and export laws and regulations governing the movement of Client''s software product, business and personal shipments. He/she will follow all standard operating procedures and suggest process improvement opportunities as they present themselves.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform Denied Parties Screening to ensure compliance with export and other legal requirements
Worldwide import/export clearance support
Commercial Invoice Review
Work with Planners, Suppliers and Freight Forwarders to ensure materials are delivered to support product launches
Update and maintain SOP''s and Internal Compliance Manual
Work with key business partners such as Turnkeys, Order Management, Procurement, Legal, eCommerce to ensure compliance with new business initiatives
Represent Traffic and Export Compliance on cross functional teams as needed
Perform periodic risk assessment to identify gaps in processes, drive automation and streamline processes wherever possible
Maintain and update routing guides
Reviews and approves freight payables
Manages loss and damages claims
Vendor and Broker management
Skills:
Knowledge of US Export Laws and Regulations; Import/Export Compliance exp is required.
Experience working with domestic and international freight forwarders
Experience with SAP GTS or similar Export Management System a plus
Experience with Harmonized Tariff Schedule and essentials of import and export activities
Project Management skills a plus
Software industry experience beneficial
Experience with global, multinational companies
Experience working with a geographically dispersed team beneficial
Proven flexibility in dynamic environments and ability to adapt to shifting priorities
Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
Good written communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of an organization
Good written and spoken English required


Education:
BA/BS with 3 or more years of experience in fast paced environment
