Job Description:
Position Name: Data Architect
Location: Chicago / Remote
Travel: 10% Travel to various client locations as needed. Travel Expenses Paid.
Duration: 6 Months
Description:
Data Architect should prototype, architect and develop BI Solutions.
Create BI solutions, ensuring they are aligned with the enterprise architecture.
Provide consultation and recommendations for business intelligence design, software development design/architecture and application frameworks.
Regularly interface with other architects, analysts, developers to understand and evaluate data architecture and business analytics solutions.
Apply an understanding of architecture practices to articulate technology options and risk and mitigation strategies to influence decisions and project direction with leadership.
Lead and participate in development of prototype solutions to support and prove business and technology concepts and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of technology disciplines.
Lead and participate in business and technical design workshops along with creation of technical design documents and supporting materials.
Qualifications :
A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Data Science is preferable.
10 Plus years of experience working as an Architect / Technical Lead / Developer.
Two years of experience working with Azure Cloud Platform / AWS specific to data warehousing (Snow Flake
Experience working with Cosmos Database.
In-depth performance tuning expertise with SQL.
Some experience with project management is desirable.
Five plus years of experience working with SQL Server developing stored procedures and triggers.
Experience working with Team Foundation Server, SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.
Five Plus years of experience with DW and data lakes and business analytics.
Critical thinker/problem solver with logical thought process.
Strong communication skills, including presentation development and delivery.
Strong cross-team collaboration skills.
