Position : Jmeter Performance Testing Experienced Tester
Location : Bentonville, AR
Duration : 12+ Months Contract
Job Description:
Client is requesting onsite technical resource with 4-6 years’ experience with Jmeter performance testing tool.
Must have SW Performance Testing experience and able to work as team player with both on-shore and off-shore teams .
At least 5 years of End-to-End Performance Testing experience using mainstream Performance test and engineering tools, monitoring tools, scripting and automation.
Understand and able to articulate what the difference between performance engineering vs performance testing; plus able to articulate what continuous performance testing is, what this looks like, etc.
Understand, able to articulate plus demonstrate via hands both traditional performance testing and continuous performance testing approaches and methodologies.
Advanced knowledge and hands on experience with Jmeter. Additional experience with other profiling tools would be expected.
Advanced level proficiency in at least 1 programming language (i.e. Java, C, C#, Python)
Advanced understanding of QA/QE/Agile concepts, test case management, defect management etc.
Understand System’s Tech Architecture, and should be able to identify different layers of tech solution based on a design discussion or architecture document.
Medium level proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Relational and/or NoSQL Database platform.
Solid understanding of Web service architecture, REST , SOAP, HTTP/HTML.
Solid understanding of HW architecture, measuring units, acronyms, Virtualization concepts, API’s, Middleware technologies.
Working experience on HP ALM and/or Jira.
Working experience performance testing Client-Server Application.
Working experience on open source performance test tool (for example JMeter
Solid level of proficiency in Unix shell scripting.
Understand, Articulate and Communicate System NFR / SLA based on different Technology platforms/solutions.
Basic understanding of cloud computing and performance measurement on cloud deployed apps.
Solid knowledge with UI performance/profiling tools/Mobility testing platform.
Optional or Good to have skills:
Working experience on HP ALM and/or Jira.
