This requisition is intended to fill a multi-skilled combination of roles, where we are looking for people with good skills in 3 of the following and good understanding of 1 and 2:
1. Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
2. Java/J2SE API Development
3. JavaScript (JS) UI Development
Our goal is to hire "T-Shaped" developers who can support any of the three major roles we need for delivery in our scrum teams. Candidates who have strong skills in any of the three focal areas, and present a level of aptitude and attitude that shows they are willing to learn the other focal areas will be those who we will lean towards.
Skills/Experience:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Understanding of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Excellent understanding of development concepts, SDLC methodologies, and Test Driven Development (TDD)
Strong knowledge of object oriented design patterns and continuous delivery principles
Proficiency in the Java/J2SE, and/or JavaScript (JS) programming languages
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
Experience with automation testing tools, end to end testing, and the Selenium WebDriver tool
Experience using mainstream software test, development tools / applications (Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, Splunk, etc
Proficiency in Code Profiling, debugging and Optimization
2-5 years overall software engineering experience, services oriented architecture (SOAP/XML and RESTful services)
3+ years of Java/J2SE 8 with a deep understanding of the language and core API''s, solid understanding of Web-based application Security, knowledge of OOP Design patterns
