Title: Java/J2EE Programmer
Location: Austin, Texas 78701
Duration: Until August 31, 2018 with possible extension
Job Duties:
· Support the development and maintenance of applications, as assigned, that operate in the complex Java and Oracle environments.
· Develop detailed flowcharts and models, implementing specifications, and performing modifications from design reviews, prototype evaluations and assessment testing.
· Produce module specifications, unit test requirements, and system and integration test requirements.
· Produce running program modules, which meet TCEQ, DIR and World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) specifications and agency standards. Produce outline, format and detailed program and user documentation.
· Provide other reasonable Web Developer services as necessary for the implementation and deployment of selected TCEQ project(s
· Mentoring, assigning, and monitoring the work to/for the project team.
· Communicating and working with people of all technical levels in a team environment.
· Building and/or migrating to highly scalable web-based applications, with strong emphasis on operational elements such as redundancy, fault-tolerance, logging and monitoring, troubleshooting, and high availability.
The project will begin upon the developer’s selection and continue through August 31, 2018. The work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
Requirements:
- 6 years - Engineering design strategies related to scalability, performance, security, usability and development platforms;
- 6 years - Java and J2EE, Hibernate/ORM, JSF Primefaces, Web Services (REST and SOAP), JPA, and Patterns/OO Design
- 6 years - Development using Oracle DB, SQL and PL/SQL
- Hibernate ORM
