Job Description:
Work as a Programmer/Developer Analyst with the Vocational Rehabilitation Systems team in developing and implementing a web enabled Java application.
Develop Web based Java applications: Work with the VRS development team to develop software applications. These applications shall adhere to VRS development standards.
Perform other duties as assigned. Work is performed under supervision of VR application manager with some latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment within the parameters of established policies and procedures.
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
5 Experience developing and maintaining Java Web based applications using Eclipse IDE
5 Experience in creating and maintaining complex SQL. Experience writing queries involving Group By, Having Clauses.
4 Experience optimizing complex SQL. Experience in improving execution and performance of complex application-based SQL.
4 A very clear understanding of Object Oriented programming including Polymorphism, Inheritance, Interfaces etc.
4 Experience in designing application, including defining Object model, Business Interfaces, Object Database Interaction.
4 Experience with a complete life cycle development, including migration issues, of an Enterprise
application.
4 Experience with EIR accessibility and required specification (i.e. US Section 508 and WCAG2.0) and working on tasks that implemented solutions which were tested for and adhered to those standards and specifications.
4 Skilled with code migration supporting multiple environments.
4 Experience with RDMS, Informix is a plus
4 Experience with CVS
4 Experience with data migration from one RDMS to another.
4 Experience using Hibernate.
4 Knowledge of accessibility requirements including basic Section 508
4 Knowledge of adaptive software including Jaws, ZoomText and Dragon Naturally Speaking
