Job Title: Java Tech Lead - Full Stack
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Contract: 6 months
Summary:
As a Lead Software Engineer the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Product Manager and Design Lead, utilizing the squad model focused on new feature development/product delivery and quality. Each squad has full autonomy regarding how it goes about delivering its long and short term goals, helping to ensure alignment and quality. In addition, we will look to the Lead Software Engineer to work with the business to suggest simple, maintainable product features which meet/anticipate customer needs.
This is a high-profile project within client space and the successful applicant’s contribution will ultimately be transformative to the business.

Roles and responsibilities:
This is a Full Stack developer role.
The manager has a UX team which focuses on the front end development.
The Must haves: Java, Microservices, Spring, Rest, API.
The team is using Angular, React on the frontend side of the development.
They would like the candidate to have some Shared Services experience, some Integration experience, Unit Testing and Solid programming skills
The manager would consider non-local candidates who are willing to relocate on their own expense and can do skype/video interview for nonlocal candidates.

Preferred experience and technology requirements:
Recent career history operating as a Senior Software Engineer or like show evidence of at least 50% hands on developing web service applications.
Strong hands-on Agile web application development & client/server development experience (7+ years) to include experience across languages and projects with experience of Java, JavaScript/ECMAScript, NodeJS preferred
Experience of successful project/product completion and delivery (ideally involving simultaneous projects)
Demonstrable experience of production products, SDLC, REST (and other API) development architecture.
Ability to work in an Agile development environment
Responsive Design experience Twitter Bootstrap, SASS or LESS is a plus
Open source or community experience is a plus
Experience developing microservices
A background in Educational technology and/or healthcare and nursing is a plus
