Job Title: Java Tech Lead - Full Stack
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Contract: 6 months(Contract to hire)

As a Lead Software Engineer - Platforms the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the broad EdTech team and will focus on integrating all components of the platform to facilitate effective communications with all key systems utilizing the squad model to support new feature development/product delivery and quality.
Must haves:
Recent career history operating as a Senior Software Engineer or similar to show evidence of at least 50% hands on developing web service applications
Strong hands-on Agile web application development & client/server development experience (7+ years) to include experience across languages and projects with experience of Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Spring Preferred
Full Stack ideal but more Back End
Managerial/Leadership experience
Distributed Systems and Micro services Architectures
Cloud computing experience
8+ years of experience
Spring boot experience
Experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes, AWS
Experience of successful project/product completion and delivery (ideally involving simultaneous projects)
Demonstrable experience of production products, SDLC, REST (and other API) development architecture.

Nice to haves:
A background in Educational technology and/or healthcare and nursing is a plus
Open source or community experience is a plus
