Job Description:

Pursuant to Article 2, Title 2-A, Section 230 of the Public Health Law, the Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) is responsible for the collection and management of all professional misconduct complaints filed against physicians, physician assistants, and specialist assistants. Throughout the years, a number of computer systems were created to meet the needs of OPMC. As time went on and technologies changed, the systems were unable to be maintained and enhanced to continue to meet the business needs. A prior initiative has identified the high-level Business Use Cases and requirements for a newly designed system. OPMC is now at a point where additional teams are required to begin the development of the new system.

The Technical Architect activities and responsibilities that will be required in this project include but are not limited to:

Design system architecture and develop system models specifying interactions between multiple systems; ·
Develop and/or modify technical and/or design specifications, technical writing and documentation;
Develop web pages and user interfaces;
Software development and maintenance tasks including coding, testing, and implementation.

Required Skills:

Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) in designing and implementing Information Technology Solutions using the Java programming language.
Experience in Oracle PL/SQL and developing procedures and packages.
Experience in using the spring framework
Experience in using the Struts framework
Experience using JavaScript frameworks
Experience building Responsive Web applications
Experience developing Java Web Services (REST and SOAP)
