Under broad management direction, works to provide expert advice and counsel to user management and IT management and project teams for systems of a complex nature.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Minimum of 8 years professional IT experience with previous architecture experience required.
Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Financial Services industry experience desired.
Expertise in Java and Java Enterprise technology applications architecture, design, development and support.
Experience in building, orchestrating, and deploying highly scalable REST based stateless APIs/web services for web applications/ mobile clients.
Understanding of the security concepts and experience in building reliable and safe distributed applications.
Strong understanding across cloud and infrastructure components: server, storage, network, data, and applications.
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS or Azure.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Architectural Review process for application development in the division.
Responsible for the process for enhancements to the architecture for the division.
Oversees the architecture and design reviews.
Creates departmental standard practices.
Serves as a technical resource within the department in systems design and analysis.
Able to direct and advise as member of cross functional team(s
Takes a leadership role for implementation of new technologies.
Sets the architectural direction working with the senior IT management
May supervise other Architects.
