Job Title: Java Senior Developer
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: Long term contract

Job Description Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing requirements review, analysis, and testing for web services applications. The ideal candidate will participate in the full Agile application development life cycle for development design, construction, and testing of applications and web services. The Software Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that performance, functionality, ease of use, and security factors are given appropriate consideration and that the solutions are successfully implemented in a cost-effective, timely, and highly collaborative manner.

Technical Skills Skill
Mandatory
A Developer must have 5 years’ experience in analyzing customer needs and developing overall concept and design objectives.
The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications.
Must have experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.

Job Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Use an Agile incremental delivery approach, supporting incremental development of high-quality and producing a fully tested application component every 2 weeks
Assist development and test teams with acceptance testing, load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning as required
Perform code peer reviews
Provide technical leadership and influence general architectural decisions and design stability
Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, and maintainable code
Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture, or new technologies
Participate in build planning, documentation, and Sprint planning and execution
Integrate new or modified software into existing systems or operating environments.

Education Level
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
