Job Description :
Looking for an Java developer with database and Shell/ Perl scripting skills with at least 6-8 years of experience in designing and implementing highly scalable models that support large volumes of reporting data
Location: San Jose, CA
Must have :
Strong experience in Java using Excel POI API, XML API, Database programming and design, MS SQL Server, TSQL, Linux, Shell / Perl scripting Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale OLTP and Data Warehousing applications in a production environment Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines Test-infected attitude (strong desire to perform thorough and exhaustive unit, integration and system testing) Exposure to ETL tools such as Talend, SSIS etc.
Ability to liaise with Business, QA and Dev stakeholders to understand processes, Data and system specs and test data requirements.
Nice to have:
Working Knowledge of BI tools such as PowerBI/Tableau/QlikView Ability to understand business process information and associated data flows for business domains such as Finance, HR, Services and Operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Analysts of different functional teams like HR, Finance, Sales, Product, to gather reporting requirements Design a scalable, secure database model that is highly performant and meets the requirements of the business functions Implement automation of data ingestion, data processing and data uploads on a pre-defined cadence Lead the analysis of test data requests, defines test data characteristics, and the design, development, and implementation of test data automation.
Create and validate test data all phases of testing
