Position Description
Client is looking for a Micro Services Developer to join the team in Lafayette, LA. The candidate will have proven implementation experience and a deep understanding of a micro services architecture, including professional experience in the design, build, and operations of micro services in a production environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Experience designing REST APIs and implementing RESTful web services.
Experience in designing data persistence system using both SQL and NoSQL DBMS (MongoDB, OracleDB
Good understanding of SCRUM/Agile methodology.
Experience is designing rest services using Netflix OSS framework (Hysterix, Feign, Zuul, Eureka and Ribbon
Experience in the management of a small team of IT professionals (desirable
Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in writing unit test cases using Mockito.
Skills in providing end user training.
Skills in project planning.
Skills writing user and system manuals.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
8+ years of total professional IT work experience.
5+ years of experience in Micro services technologies using Java-8 & Spring Boot.
Solid understanding of Agile methodology and experience managing delivery of Agile projects and associated ceremonies.
Ability to navigate a fast paced, highly matrixed organization effectively
Proven ability to present and communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
Flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments
Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
Extensive and advanced knowledge of development of business applications, software design, production support and test methods as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is preferred
