Role- Java/Guidewire Developer CTH
The developer(s) will be working in a team of 15 (including developers, and project manager’s) supporting the conversion from their legacy policy system to their new Policy Center Application. Additionally this team will also be responsible for integration with Guidewire, which is back-end software for the Property and Casualty industry. Level of experience will determine starting tasks.If new to Guidewire the Developer will start out identifying defects within the maintenance stream and applying applicable fixes. A more seasoned developer will be involved with gathering requirements, creating plans and recommending code development plan.
The team is very interactive and uses Agile Methodology of collaboration.
Required Skills:
7+ years’ experience as a Core Java Developer
o Currently Java Version 8, but moving to 9 once the development tools are up to speed with changes made to their platform
7+ years’ experience using Java Script/Object oriented script
o Industry experience with Guidewire and it’s GOSU programming language
A foundation of java, object oriented? concepts and writing web services needed
Ability to perform SQL queries, minimally JPA and auto generated SQL
Experience working in an Agile Environment
