Job Description
The Position We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop new prototypes, pilots, and production applications using the latest web technologies to join the Fidelity Centre for Applied Technology (FCAT) team. This team has the mission to catalyse innovation for Fidelity and our clients and supports all Fidelity businesses.

Primary Responsibilities
Develop new prototypes, pilots, and production applications using the latest web technologies. •Design and develop complex enterprise applications. •Rapidly develop enterprise software based on requirement documents, prototypes, or verbal requirements. •Work across peer groups to resolve and understand complex technical/design issues. •Learn and adopt new concepts & technologies quickly and implement them effectively in projects. •Provide technical assistance to other colleagues in the team. •Foster innovation through research and conducts studies of alternatives, analyze and recommend changes in project developmental policies, procedures, standards, and development strategies

Education and Experience
Solid experience in full-stack development with focus on server-side technical skills (JavaScript, Node.js or Java) •Experience with standard client technologies HTML, JavaScript & CSS. •Knowledge of web client frameworks such JQuery, Foundation or Bootstrap. •Experience with SOA and REST web services. •Object Oriented Programming and Object Oriented Design principles and implementation. •Strong UI design and development experience. •Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal •Great problem solver, able to assimilate information quickly.
