Strong core Java and object-oriented development skills
Solid understanding of ORM concepts and experience with at least one framework
Solid understanding of EJB, JMS, session beans, transaction management, timers, dependency injection and experience with at least one application server/framework
General understanding and familiarity with source control management, versioning, testing methodologies, and software release lifecycles
Hands on experience with Restful web service APIs, both client and server
Familiarity and experience with SQL and relational database models
Familiarity and experience with JavaScript, XML, JSON, HTML, and CSS
Familiarity and experience with Linux shell essentials
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and to do the research and experimentation to deliver complete, practical solutions without constant guidance and supervision
Ability to navigate, debug, and fix problems in a legacy codebase without disruptive rewrites
Adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
