Position: Java Developer W Spring AWS and DevOps
Location: Reston, VA
Duration: 6+ Months
Description
The selected candidate will create a set of reliable, highly scalable, large scale micro systems that use cutting edge technologies.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Java development within AWS and in a micro-services environment.
Design and development in an Agile environment.
Review current systems, suggesting updates as needed
Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders
Test and debug new applications and updates
Develop and utilize technical change documentation
Strive to deploy all products and updates on time
Help improve code quality by implementing recommended best practices
Remain up to date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments
Skillset:
3-5 years Java and Spring Experience
1-3 years AWS and DevOps experience
Strong Java Development Skills,
Extensive Spring Implementation experience.
Knowledge of Containerization of Middleware Platforms, Docker and hands-on experience on Kubernetes based Cloud Platforms.
Hands-on experience on infrastructure-as-code automation tools like Puppet and Ansible and extensive skills in Node JS, and Spring Boot.
Knowledge and experience with CI/CD with knowledge of Git Hub, Maven and Jenkins.
In addition to above, the role requires knowledge and experience with distributed data management (data caching / IMDG)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field
