Sr. Java Developer (POS/Self-checkout exp will be considered!!)

12-month contract
MUST have POS/Self-Checkout exp along with Java and XML!

Key Responsibilities:
This role requires demonstrated experience with the Java and XML technologies that drive our Self Checkout System 6 solution. The ideal candidate will excel in our fast-paced, collaborative, customer-first
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Exceptional written and verbal communication
At least 5 years of Java-based development
Experience with XML
Computer science fundamentals including object-oriented concepts, data structures and related algorithms
Familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle and methodologies
Windows- and Linux-based operating systems, including software installation, light administration and simple scripting
An interest in direct communication with customers, including non-technical audiences
Familiarity with retail concepts and/or applications
Experience with retail POS applications and devices
A Master of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
