Description:
The successful candidate will join a high performing Merchandising / Ancillary Platform team. As a member of the Ancillary Platform team, this position will be responsible to solve technical and business problems for Merchandising by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the Agile / DevOps process and test-driven development, using Object-Oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase a better place to live and work.
Required Qualifications:
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree is preferred
Requires 5+ years of application development experience, including 5+ years of Java SE experience and 3+ years of Java EE experience
Must be well-versed in software development life cycle methodologies with emphasis on Agile product development including incorporation of Quality Assurance & Testing techniques
Strong proficiency in object-oriented design techniques / principles and design patterns
Strong skills in Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services: REST/SOAP (JSON,WSDL/XML)
Strong skills with Web Service frameworks, Apache CXF is preferred
Strong skills in Spring technologies / frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring integration, Spring JMS, Spring Security, Spring AOP
Knowledge of database and persistence frameworks: Oracle, Hibernate, Object / Relational Mapping, Query performance tuning
Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum
Experience with DevOps tool chains (Jenkins, GitHub, etc, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications:
Advance degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline
Working knowledge of Swagger / YAML
Experience with diagnostics / testing tools, especially with Dynatrace, Fitnesse, and SOAP UI
Experience / Knowledge in Airline Industry
Experience with Sabre and understanding of Sabre command is nice to have
Strong understanding of implementing security in Web Services.
