Job Description :
The Software Engineer, as a member of the Consumer Web Services Product Team will play a key role in delivering our global customer platform. Software Engineer will be responsible for development, enhancement and support of real time services for global customer platform. Responsibilities include Deliver real time services using Agile and extreme Programming (XP) practices including but not limited to pair programming, Test Driven Development, backlog grooming, sprint demos and Continuous Integration Develop with technologies including Java/J2EE and spring framework. Understand the capabilities and limitations of new systems and their integration into the existing environment. Provide input to architecture. Apply company architecture standards appropriately to the solution or service in collaboration with Architects Develop implementation and transition plans Ensure solutions or services adhere to IT principles such as optimizing system design for performance, maintainability and usability requirements Responsible for creating solutions that meet Ford IT standards, procedures, security, and policies Interacts with technical peers (Product Manager, Anchors, Software Engineers), IT and business management
Skills Required:
2+ year of Team Lead experience 5-7 years of professional enterprise systems design experience with strengths in Java/J2EE and Spring Framework Strong knowledge of HTTP, REST, authentication and security Knowledge of Master Data Management (IBM Infosphere) Experience integrating with SOAP Web Services in Java Knowledge of core JAVA EE patterns, SOA design principles and design patterns Experience in WAS Liberty Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry(PCF) development Experience with Patterns and Architecture standards Experience with Cloud Based application development Experience in application design, design patterns and performance tuning Must be team-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills Experience applying agile practices to solution delivery Experience with Test-driven development Experience in all phases of the development lifecycle Experience in writing well designed, testable, efficient code Experience in preparing and producing releases of software components Experience in supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review Strong analytic and problem solving skills Good organizational and time-management skills
